Giving blood, step by step
About 40 minutes, including 8 to 10 minutes of collection. The whole journey is medically supervised, in our centres and at mobile blood drives.
Giving blood is also a way to look after your own health.
Blood donation is a voluntary, anonymous and generous act that brings donors essential benefits.
Priority & free access
Priority and free access to blood products for the donor, their spouse, their parents and their children under 18.
A free health check
Medical questionnaire, vital signs (blood pressure, haemoglobin level) and a consultation at every donation. Every bag is tested: ABO/Rhesus blood group, HIV, hepatitis B and C, syphilis.
Stimulating the body
Donating stimulates the bone marrow to produce new blood cells and promotes cell renewal.
Moral & civic satisfaction
The feeling of making a concrete gesture of solidarity and citizenship.
Four steps, about 40 minutes
From reception to snack, every step is supervised by a qualified health worker, with sterile single-use equipment.
